We are now accepting membership applications for the year 2024 (January 1 – December 31, 2024). When applying for membership, please select “2024″ as the registration year.
(1) Membership Application
Please submit your application via the “Membership Application System ” and make the payment for the membership fee.
The details on how to make the payment will be sent by email from the society secretariat.
Your membership application will be completed once the secretariat confirms the details of your application, the payment of your membership fee, and the approval from your referee.
* Membership application requires the following:
Regular Membership Application:
-Name and email address of the academic council member who will recommend you
Student Discount Membership Application:
-Name and email address of the academic council member who will recommend you
-Image of your student ID card for upload, including the side with the expiration date
* Recommendation from an academic council member
In principle, a recommendation from an academic council member is required. However, if you do not have a recommendation, the General Affairs Committee will conduct a membership review. Please upload your CV with a list of research achievements (approximately one A4 page) or, if you are a student, a self-introduction document outlining your research theme.

Membership Fees for Graduate and Undergraduate Students
The membership fees for graduate and undergraduate students are valid until the end of March.
For the period starting from April, please refer to “Membership Fee – Student Discount Application ” and apply accordingly.
Membership Fees for Foreign Nationals Residing Outside Japan
The membership fee for foreign nationals residing abroad is JPY6,000.
For those who provide proof of being a graduate or undergraduate student, the membership fee is JPY3,000.
Japanese nationals residing abroad are required to pay the same membership fee as those residing in Japan.
Similarly, foreign nationals residing in Japan (e.g., studying abroad) are also required to pay the same membership fee as those residing in Japan.
Agreement on the Proper Management and Use of Personal Information
June 25, 2005
This agreement sets forth the guidelines for the proper management, use, and protection of personal information handled by the Japanese Pharmacological Society (hereinafter referred to as “the Society”). It is established in compliance with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and the “Guidelines for Measures for the Proper Management of Personal Information,” and in accordance with guidance from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
1. Specification of the Purpose of Use
Personal information obtained from the members is intended solely for use in academic research-related activities of the Society and will not be used for any other purposes.
2. Proper Acquisition and Ensuring Accuracy
The acquisition of personal information is, in principle, based on self-reports from the members, and efforts will be made to ensure its accuracy and currency.
3. Safety Management Measures and Supervision of Employees and Contractors
In departments handling personal information of the members, access will be limited to the minimum number of necessary personnel, and internal checks will be maintained. When providing personal information to external contractors for the purposes outlined in section 1., necessary measures such as confidentiality agreements will be taken to ensure appropriate management and supervision.
4. Handling of Requests for Suspension, Correction, and Other Actions
Requests from the members for the correction, suspension, or other actions of their personal information will be addressed promptly and appropriately.
