To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Japanese Pharmacological Society, this award was established in 2024 to recognize outstanding young pharmacology researchers who are enrolled in doctoral programs or who have recently obtained their doctoral degrees.
The aim is to encourage the development of human resources who will lead pharmacological research for the next 100 years.
