About the Ebashi Setsuro Award
Established by the JPS in 2007, the Ebashi Setsuro Award is the Society's highest honor. Since fiscal year 2020, recruitment has been conducted biennially across two distinct categories:
Basic Research Area (Odd-numbered fiscal years):
Welcomes researchers engaged in foundational pharmacology and life science research that influences a wide range of fields, yields results driving future drug discovery, and shows exceptional promise for further development.
Translational & Applied Research Area (Even-numbered fiscal years):
Welcomes researchers with a proven track record in developing novel therapies based on pharmacological science, or those highly expected to advance the future of drug discovery research.
