The Japanese Pharmacological Society has celebrated its 100th anniversary.

The 100th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Pharmacological Society marks an important milestone for reflecting on the progress of pharmacology and envisioning its next century. Building on the precise and rigorous basic research capabilities and international collaborations that pharmacology in Japan has cultivated, we hope this meeting will bring together researchers, educators, healthcare and drug discovery professionals, and students who will lead the next generation, to foster new knowledge and to work with all of you in shaping the future of pharmacology that contributes to the world and society.

The Japanese Pharmacological Society is approaching a significant milestone: the 100th anniversary of its establishment on April 1, 1927. In commemoration of this momentous occasion, the Society is preparing a variety of anniversary projects, some of which are already underway.
Through these initiatives, we hope to reflect upon the Society’s history while looking ahead to the further advancement of pharmacology, thereby deepening future-oriented discussions for the next 100 years.

Since its establishment in 1927, the Japanese Pharmacological Society has contributed to the advancement of pharmacology through a broad spectrum of research, ranging from basic science to clinical applications. This year's 100th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Pharmacological Society marks a major milestone in the Society's history, celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding.
With the theme "100 Years of Pharmacology—Toward a Future as the Science of Regulating Life," and with the vision of "understanding life, regulating life, and creating the future," we aim to reflect on the knowledge and achievements cultivated by pharmacology over the past century, and to deepen discussion on the role and future of pharmacology amid new developments in life science and medical research.
We hope that this meeting will provide our members with an opportunity to interact across generations and fields of expertise, and to gain new perspectives. We sincerely look forward to your participation.
